Obama Hammers Trump at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Given today’s partisan division and rancor, it is good to see that folks can still have a good sense of humor.

Obama delivered some good-natured shots at Donald Trump, Matt Damon, and others during yesterday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He also made light of the recent release of his birth certificate.

All very entertaining stuff.

I really enjoy these as well. Humor has an amazing way of putting what’s important into proper perspective. It’s ironic to me that through humor’s inherent exaggeration, we actually see more of the “human” side of people that exists when all that hyperbole and exaggeration isn’t there.

When Seth Meyers gave his performance, the shots of Trump made it appear he was seething. But it wasn’t a great angle, so I’m not sure. Obama’s “birth video” was hilarious!
