All at NBC. No idea if there’s a larger meaning there for that firm’s culture, or ours.
Then again Fox snatches up people like Imus and Palin. I was almost certain they were going to snag Hank Williams Jr. and give him his own show once he got booted from MNF.
Talk about cheap moves to get ratings (“cheap” to the networks, anyways!)
Maybe NBC should rename itself the Nepotism Broadcasting Corporation. If the shoe fits…
One thing we can be confident of – they’re not being hired for their journalism chops. Pure celebrity stuff. That said, Willie Geist is pretty damn good, smart and doesn’t shove himself in front of the story. He deserves a future.
