The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy

I decided to break from tradition and to publish something a little less serious. I put together this little video using a program called xtranormal. It is satire on what many left bloggers write and think about conservatives. Huffington Post served as my inspiration.

Enjoy!

    Awesome!

How many credits, i.e. money, did it cost ya?

Love it!!!!! This is the “next wave” of blogging technology – mark my words! Let’s invest!

    • Seriously.

It took me about two seconds to realize that it was worth sinking 10 bucks into it. If they could make me customized sets and characters, I would sink even more into it.

My page views today are the second highest they have ever been.

A cool technology add-on (sorry, Sean, not trying to take away from the brilliance of the dialogue you created!) would be if the software recorded your inflections (only) as you personally spoke the dialogue, so that the speech-to-text quality would be even better.

    • I wish I knew who the investors of this technology were.

I bet the company is in stealth mode right now.

I’m sure the technology will get better as time goes on though…

I’ve seen videos out of this shop with that add on. For that reason I’ve been collecting Obama speeches for several months now. I hope, yeah right, to “interview Obama one day!

Vern – I think one of the attractive things about these xtranormal vids is that absurd halting cadence of the speech. It adds to the fun.

I’m impressed Sean that you pulled it off – and terrific dialogue as well. Of course, you call it satire, I call it . . . . aw, you guys know what I call it.

If I can find it I’ll drop a link to one of my favorites – created by a liberal, mocking liberals. Sort of.

      • Yeah, I was thinking about doing a liberal version called, you guessed it, “The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy.” I just don’t know if I can do it without it inadvertently offending someone. It is one thing to make fun of oneself, but when you start targeting the “other” in a satirical way, it can sometimes backfire badly.

I also figured out how to get rid of the halting speech, but I agree with you, Moe, that the awkwardness kinda adds to the charm.

There will definitely be more of these to come with more bells and whistles. Stay tuned! 😉

“I also hear they will be foot-binding all the women. I cannot wait!”

Hilarious! You should do one on “What the Left Truly Thinks of Soldiers Even Though They Wear Yellow Ribbons”.

    • That’s a great idea.

I first want to develop the Thurston and Talbot characters a little bit first.

Then I might create some lefty characters….

The problem is, the dialogue is so easy to create because people actually write these things on the Huffington Post.

      It is just too easy…

      • Moe says:

I’m really pissed that Huff Post has stolen all the thunder – it’s thin, slim, shabby and sub par. REAL liberals don’t pay much attention – unless they’ve got a cause to push in which case they scribble something and get it up there. Because exposure is exposure.

      • Moe says:

[Hopefully, I fall into the former ] Oh you do, Sean, you do. As do pino and vern, two of my favorite conservatives! (Hi guys)

  5. Thanks, Moe. You are one of my favorite liberals, too. 😉

  6. Do you control their motions at all. Talbot seems a little itchy at times.
